Event Solutions Party at Cosmopolitan’s Marquee

The Event Solutions Tuesday Night Party at The Cosmopolitan – a great new spot in Las Vegas – begins while you are elevated into a tropical swim area. In this very nice outdoor space we quickly realize the pool is empty and the plentiful buffet (with no line) was wading (sorry) for us to EAT!

  1. Love it!

I have spent the weekend at CAMP – EventCamp!

I have spent the weekend at CAMP – EventCamp! Like minded #eventprofs come together to discover and discuss where events and technology/social media meet! And the 2011 National edition has left my head brimming with ideas and info!

  1. Hello Deb,

One of the things that is so attractive about an Event Camp event is that you can depend on the community to keep the learning going. The content is decentralized and no one is sending annoying emails saying this is due! It just happens. Thank you for being a part of that. I love your feedback and the work that you as well as many others in the community due in order to learn and help others imbibe the same.

    - Cameron Toth

  2. It was great to be with all of you. Lots of insight, energy and enthusiasm gathered in a very unique space. Honored to be part of it and glad that I could contribute. Your kind words are much appreciated. Looking forward to the next one.

EventCamp East Coast : The Un-Conference!

EventCamp East Coast! This un-conference was a great experience! It was a safe place for attendees to gather and to exchange knowledge and ideas though user generated content!

  1. Thank you so much Cameron! Thank you for all your work and energy that you throw behind the #eventprofs community. It is great to have your presence!

    - Debra Roth

  2. Hello Debra,

You are such a classy lady. You made Event Camp East Coast very special for me. From the car ride down to the dinner at Table 31 your spirit and willingness to share overwhelms me. Thank you for being a part of my experience.

I always say to speakers if you are getting angry because people are reading their cell phones during your presentation there is only one person to get angry with. A speaker/presenter has to face the fact that people vote with their eyes and their feet. If a speaker isn’t engaging to people’s eyes and minds at the physical event, what is the hope for them during a virtual presentation?

This was a back to basics learning experience that was anything but basic. I will be utilizing the lessons learned at Event Camp East Coast to create engaging physical experiences with incredibly engaging above the curve virtual experiences.

Thank you Debra for this great post!
    Cameron

  3. Thank you Jenise! EventCamp East Coast really was a great experience! I look forward to hearing everyone’s point of view as we seem like a blogging bunch! Thank you for taking the picture above, of me, Traci Browne and Lindsey Rosenthal on our walk in the woods after camp.

  4. A very nice recap, Debra! I didn’t realize that the design session you led at ECEC10 was your first. I am so grateful for the way the “Conferences That Work” format pushed me to lead my first session as well. Like you, I plan to build on it and seek out more opportunities to share my expertise. What a transformative event! I was also very grateful to be able to hang out with you. The opportunities for interaction were very near to being enough, for a change. :)
