Public Art is a great way to not only beautify an area but to bring people together! I have observed great cities like Chicago that have build vital centers around Public Art.
Madison Square Park in NYC has created MAD SQ ART to do just that – create a vibrant space for city dwellers to walk through, observe and smile. From March through August 15th this summer The Madison Square Park Conservancy presented Antony Gormley’s Event Horizon, a landmark public art exhibition.
These sculptures are body casts of the artist. There are several placed around the park on 23rd street, but the real experience is the Sculptural Installation on the roofs of many buildings around the area.
I like it. To that end I have been talking about it. I have been looking for the statues in a kind of Where’s Waldo way! And they are great to spot and see…
