As an aside: Historically the West End was a large section on Boston – it was torn down in Urban development in the 60’s to create City Hall – Govt. Plaza.
I was glad to go onto the field so I could return to Boston and have the experience. Afterall it WAS summertime and everyone should be outside. We began our install on Friday and I immediately knew I was happy to be outside working, thinking on my feet, and creating visual environments with fabric structures. The festival environment really came to life as we added each fabric sculpture. The community members that I was working with were of all ages, and it was a great day creating tensile installations with folks that have never done anything like this and will always remember participating.
Take a look of the stream of photos that Duane Lucia took.
Enjoy some of my photos as well!
