This past June, ARF (The Advertising Research Foundation) held it’s annual conference at New York’s Marriott Marquis and this year’s event was their biggest yet. The ARF producer, S&A Event Services and Ken Schmalz, turned to us, yet again, for a dynamic stage set and, of course, we were delighted to provide just the right design. Our unique stage set was the perfect complement to this year’s graphical look – images of strands of “live wires” which were all over the marketing materials.
Ken came to us with relatively no lead-time so a rental solution was the way to go. Drawing from our Ribbonesque collection, Jesse Zryb, Pink’s designer, created a stage set composed of several different strand configurations – all woven in and out of each other to look like tangled wires. This concept – a custom look, right off the shelf – was just the design they were seeking – a visual reinforcement of their brand imagery.
And then Ken took it from there – making these undulating shapes pop even more with an array of color changing LEDs placed underneath the ribbons. The look and feel was electric.
